Junior Izquierdo’s lawyer denounces slowness in authorizing expert reports on audios with Minister Santivañez

Junior Izquierdo's lawyer denounces slowness in authorizing expert reports on audios with Minister Santivañez

More than a month after Junior Left delivered the audios of the alleged conversations with the Minister of the Interior, Juan José Santiváñezto the Prosecutor’s Office, the expert assessment of the material has not yet been carried out.

This was reported by the lawyer José Carlos Mejía, legal defense of ‘Culebra’ to RPP. “There is still no judicial authorization to carry out an expert opinion. Priority should be given due to the issues involved following the complaint made by Captain Izquierdo Yarlequé on August 7,” he indicated.

According to Mejía, the complete audio was delivered to the Prosecutor’s Office more than a month ago. Specifically, on Tuesday, August 20, they delivered a USB with five audio files and on Thursday, August 29, the complete recorder. Despite this, to date, they continue to wait for judicial authorization to begin the expert opinion.

“My sponsor has already reaffirmed that he invited the interior minister On his fifth day in office, on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, in a chifa in San Borja, they met for more than two hours. The minister himself acknowledged that he came and Captain Izquierdo revealed that he came with a hidden voice recorder, so what the information shows is that my client did not meet with a comedian or an artificial intelligence, so the voices that appear there would be those of Captain Izquierdo and the Minister of the Interior,” he explained.

Likewise, he insisted that many other procedures are missing in addition to the expert opinion of the audios. “Not only is it about doing an expert report on the device, the recorder, but also that the Minister of the Interior, who claims that it is not his voice, has to undergo a phonetic expert report. They have to take samples from him to compare with the device,” he said.

Minister Santiváñez denies the veracity of the audios

Meanwhile, the head of the Mininter denied that it was his voice and reinforced the alleged falsity of the material by saying that the tone of voice has changed compared to the previous audios. “They are absolutely false, now the voice does not even have a slight resemblance,” he emphasized to Canal N.

“With respect to the audio broadcast yesterday by a Sunday newspaper, not only us, through an official communication, have denied it because they are absolutely false audios,” he said.

Likewise, he assured that the material presented has several cuts and that the voice does not resemble his own “even slightly.” “I invite you, gentlemen, journalists to take the trouble to listen to them and notice how many times that audio is supposedly cut. The first ten seconds have about two cuts to begin with. It’s more the voice that you try to attribute to me not even today but today already It doesn’t even have a slight resemblance,” he attacked.
