The Superintendence of Land Transportation of People, Load and Merchandise (Sutran), through its Decentralized Unit (UD) Junín, intervened a total of 2,228 vehicles from April 16 to 20, revealing worrying infractions that compromise the security of land transport.
Among the most serious actions, the discovery of five vehicles that operated without authorization for the transport of people, that is, totally informally. These units were sanctioned with the removal of minutes for the infraction F.1, whose penalty is equivalent to a tax tax unit (UIT), or S/ 5,350 for each case.
In the field of merchandise transport, the situation was no less worrying. Of the 971 interventions made to trucks and cargo vehicles, it was detected that 35 units had technical infractions, such as: lack of operational lights, pneumatics in poor condition and deficiencies in mechanical conditions
These breaches constitute violations of the National Transport Administration Regulations, directly affecting security in national roads.
On the other hand, 1,257 interprovincial buses were supervised at key points of the national road network, while another 409 units were reviewed in the Huancayo terrestrial terminal.
