Junín: Sucre surprises and continues to fight in the 2024 Peru Cup

Deportivo Sucre and Deportivo Municipal de Pangoa starred in a great game yesterday afternoon. Those, now led by Elmer Castro, won their first match in this National Stage of the Peru Cup 2024 and continue in the fight to qualify for the next phase of men’s soccer. In Huancavelica and Pasco no harm was done.

The duel between the Huancaínos and Satipeños was played at the Monumental Stadium of Jauja, yesterday afternoon, valid for the fourth date of the National Stage of the Peru Cup 2024.

Deportivo Sucre only had the option to win and did so with a resounding 3 – 1 victory over its current rival Deportivo Municipal de Pangoa, which had not lost a game since the district stage of male soccer.

With this result, the runner-up from Junín rises from 48th place to 41st place and is only two points away from the classification zone. The next date they will have to visit the always difficult Sociedad Tiro 28 in Cerro de Pasco. A victory is enough to continue in the race, in the event of a tie or defeat they would already be saying goodbye to this edition of the Peru Cup.

For its part, Echa Muni from Pangoa dropped to 17th place and still maintains its classification zone. On the next date they play at home against Sport Machete de Huancavelica, in the city of Mazamari, Satipo.

Huancavelica. Sport Machete failed at home against UDA and they ended up drawing without goals.

Pasco. Ecosem and Tiro 28 tied, but both are still in the qualification zone.
