Junín: Some 50 cases of school aggression were reported during the first quarter

During this First School Trimester, in the Junín region,. The province of Huancayo is the one with the highest number of incidents. According to the report presented by the Regional School Coexistence Specialist of the Junín Regional Directorate of Education (DREJ), the cases of school violence reported on the SISEVE web platform are a total of 50, distributed in physical violence (22), violence psychological (13) and sexual violence (13).

The Huancayo Local Educational Management Unit (UGEL) is the one with the highest number of cases with 13, of which 1 occurred in preschool, 7 in primary school and 5 in secondary school.

The Ugel Junín reported 8 cases, while the Ugel Satipo and the Ugel Jauja each recorded 5 cases of school aggression; Ugels Tarma and Chupaca follow with 3 cases, with two cases are Ugels, Chanchamayo, Pangoa, Pichanaki and Yauli; while with 1 case are the Ugels Río Tambo and Concepción.

Faced with this problem, the DREJ and Ugels presented technical actions (TA) to reduce the figures, among the main ones are: Awareness of the use of media and social networks aimed at students, technical assistance on care and referral of cases of violence school aimed at directors and those responsible for school coexistence of the IIEE; coordinate the immediate activation of the BAPE with the support and coordination of the police stations in the area of ​​the UGEL Huancayo; coordinate with strategic allies and/or with a multisectoral table to unify efforts in such a way that campaigns can be carried out by inserting common objectives, among others.

School classes with 100% capacity in the classroom still do not occur in all educational centers in the Junín region, according to the regional director of Junín Education, Gustavo Olivera Cerrón.

“We are aware that 2% of educational centers still do not return to their classrooms with 100% capacity. Most likely, they will do it for the following weeks, because the well-being of the schoolchildren has to be guaranteed. The decision is up to the directors of each educational center,” said the official.

With regard to private schools, promoters must consider the protocol of the Education sector, which establishes the measures for the security and permanent health surveillance of schoolchildren, established by the Ministry of Education (MINEDU).
