Faced with the announced 48-hour regional strike called for February 18 and 19, the Junín Police Region implemented the 72-hour operations plan, which will begin this March17, in order to prevent disturbances and guarantee public order in the jurisdiction.
The operation includes control, surveillance and restoration of traffic actions at strategic points on the Central Highway, given the support of various unions that confirmed their participation in the protest measure due to the lack of budget for the New Central Highway.
The deployment is led by PNP General César Calero Cisneros, who reported that the protection of the integrity of the population, respect for human rights and the right to peaceful protest will be prioritized.
The police institution indicated that the plan includes the presence of specialized units to act in the event of road blockades, disturbances or damage to public and private property, with the aim of avoiding situations of violence and maintaining security during the announced days.
