The Regional Directorate of Agriculture Junín reported that the region plans to sow 79 298 hectares in the 2025-2026 agricultural campaign, according to the National Survey of Sowing Intentions (ENIS) of the Ministry of Agricultural Development and Irrigation (Midagri).

The potato leads the intention of planting with 25,776 hectares (33 % of the total), followed by cassava (8,000 ha), barley grain (7 192 ha), amylaceo corn (6 967 ha), corn corn (6 522 ha) and hard yellow corn (6 200 ha).
Compared to the previous campaign, the increases in potatoes (+1 485 ha), cassava (+479 ha) and amilaceo corn (+456 ha) stand out, while onion (-77.6 %), carrot (-34.9 %) and barley grain (-15.3 %) recorded the highest reductions.

The regional director of Agriculture, Jaime Aquino, said that this information will allow planning technical assistance actions, provision of supplies and marketing strategies.
The ENIS was applied in 446 statistical sectors of 124 districts in the nine provinces of Junín, covering 20 transient crops.
