The Prosecutor’s Office demonstrated that the accused exercised constant violence and extreme jealousy against the victim. Psychological tests revealed an aggressive profile and low tolerance for frustration, while the medical-legal examination confirmed that the young woman died from asphyxiation due to submersion, after being unconscious due to the brutal attack.
According to the investigation, in the early hours of March 5, Nestares summoned Yovana with deception. After an argument, he chased her to the vicinity of the orange Chupuro bridge, where he savagely beat her and threw her into the Mantaro River. The body was found days later in the Tablachaca dam, in Huancavelica.
