The Regional Institute of Neoplastic Diseases of the Center and the Miranda Specialized Clinic joined forces in a successful blood donation campaign, since the main neoplasms, such as leukemias, lymphomas and advanced solid tumor formations, demand more than 10 to 20 units of blood per patient during his treatment.

Among the donors, Rocío Vásquez Mercado, general practitioner at the Miranda Clinic, shared her personal motivation: “I did my internship at the IREN Centro and witnessed the urgent need for blood. Donating is saving lives, especially for those facing cancer.”
For her part, MH Shirley Espinoza, head of the IREN Centro Blood Bank, highlighted the magnitude of the collective effort: “Thanks to the Miranda Clinic we have been able to reach more voluntary donors, giving hope to patients who do not have close family members to support them. . This is an act of love that should inspire the entire population.”
