The regional governor of Junín, Zósimo Cárdenas, spoke out about the absence of the President of the Republic, and stressed that top authorities such as the President of the Council of Ministers and Congress were present.

“She excused herself due to health problems”said Cárdenas when questioned about the presence of the president, who on August 5, was also not present the day before the commemoration of the Battles of Junín and Ayacucho, however, he highlighted the presence of authorities such as Prime Minister Gustavo Adrianzén, the President of Congress, Eduardo Salhuana, the Minister of Culture, Leslie Urteaga and other members of the executive and legislative branches.

Zosimo Cardenas calls for unity

In his speech for the Bicentennial of the Battles of Junín and Ayacucho, he called for unity to face the current challenges of the country, such as poverty, insecurity and corruption. He will also continue to strengthen tourism in the pampas of Chacamarca. On the other hand, he assured that the works of the hospital and institute in Junín continue in progress.
