The municipal manager of the Coviriali district, Ovid Curichaoa Vilchez, reported that the 2025 National Census in its district faced serious logistics problems, lack of coordination and risks for registration staff, which questions the effectiveness of the process in the area.
As he explained, there was a delay in the designation of the registration areas, which caused the censors and their bosses to just know their routes one night before the census. Although the Municipality of Bellavista promised to provide water, cookies, gasoline and guides to access remote areas, on the second day of the census there were serious incidents.
A young censorship was lost in the town center of Buenos Aires, where there was no telephone signal, and did not appear until the afternoon. In the Ricardo Palma sector, another censorship was attacked by a Pitbull dog with aggressive background. The manager said that support was requested from the serene, but did not get immediate response.
Curichaoa regretted these facts and stressed that the lack of resources and planning could affect the results of the census, indispensable for future projects and budget allocation. He recalled that the 2017 census already presented errors, which prevented reflecting the reality of the town, and requested that this year a more rigorous and safe work is guaranteed.
