The National Aid and Scholarship Board (Junaeb) announced the return of the School Feeding Program in person for the entire country. This, in order to accompany the return to the classroom before the arrival of a new academic year, which is agreed for this Wednesday, March 2.
After almost two years without face-to-face classes, the kitchens and dining rooms of the educational establishments remained closed, so this measure establishes the return of this service for the students of the various educational centers.
In this way, breakfast, lunch and snacks will be delivered again, which will be distributed under strict protocols that comply with the sanitary measures required in the establishments.
The National Director of Junaeb, Jaime Tohá, stressed the importance of the return of this service, which, in his opinion, will contribute positively to the return to school.
“We are prepared to receive the new school year, safely, a year without a doubt different, in which students will return 100% to schools, which we believe is very necessary, since with the rates of obesity, overweight and, in some cases, malnutrition, it is essential that students can receive healthy, tasty and nutritious food”, he concluded.
