n day after declare himself “far-right” and one day before the Mexican Court orders his fortune to be reduced by collecting tax debts, billionaire Ricardo Salinas Pliego went to El Salvador to meet with Nayib Bukele to declare that, if he were president of Mexico, he would imitate the Central American’s policies in combating crime and would manage the country as one of his companies.

In recent hours, the Mexican Bukele candidate has developed a script of epic aspirationalism: he appeared in a video with the Mexican flag on one side and the banner of the Virgin of Guadalupe on the other, like Uncle Richie Hidalgo and Deudilla, with a speech more appropriately of emotional relief; In another recording he wanted to show himself as an expert sea captain in a ship with no signs of being activated, indicating the risk of turning left but moving one arm to the right, citing the sides of the ship as left and right and not as port and starboard and, to make matters worse, with a pedestrian in a red shirt walking to the side at a faster speed, obviously, than the parked ship (Salinas Pliego recommended not handing over the helm to an asshole and he himself was left as a… thinker). battered).

Salinas Pliego’s protests and anger have as a context that he is a fallen angel from the paradise of large prosperous capitals. Bloomberg published that four of the five richest people in Mexico had an average of 30 percent higher earnings in the first year of the current government. Slim (28.9), Larrea (with 48.8; who would have thought: one of the businessmen most confronted with the workerism has been the most benefited in the seven years of Q4), Bailleres (86) and Aramburuzabala (9.1 percent in six months) grew their assets.

On the other hand, Salinas Pliego’s fortune has had the misfortune of falling 33.2 percent from October of last year to Tuesday the 11th of the current month. That is, without taking into account the impact that the Court’s resolution will have on the tax debts long litigated by the Salinas Group. Nor are the obligatory payments that must be made in the United States to creditors to whom judges in that country have opened the door for such collections.

Accented, therefore, the misfortune of his fortune (inherited and later enhanced by arrangements with the Salinas de Gortari from the privileged sale of Imevisión, now Televisión Azteca), the owner of the Salinas Group has turned in search of a political position that will open doors of patrimonial compensation like the one that in his time had another surrenderer to the interests of the United States, Vicente Fox, who arrived bankrupt in Los Pinos and left enriched again, when as did his partner, Marta Sahagún, and their relatives.

For this reason, from now on he promises to exercise, in the image and likeness of Bukele, a heavy-handed presidency, alien to the rule of law whose decline in Mexico he says he regrets so much, proudly violating human rights and subject to the United States.

Such tones are not strange to him. Luis Cárdenas Palomino had barely stopped being the second most important command of the team. narcopolice Genaro García Luna, when, in January 2013, he joined as director of Adamantium Private Security Services, a Salinas Pliego company specialized in surveillance and espionage services (report by Mathieu Tourliere, in Process2019: https://goo.su/Nm5Yf). Cárdenas Palomino is imprisoned for a fraction of his extensive criminal record.

So, in its desperate search to become a compensatory government for current misfortunes, Sardinas Friego would be the playful adaptation of such surnames that promise prison crowding and the capture of only small fish; everything, in charge of who, in addition, a libertarian always in search of profit, would probably assign budgetary concessions to operate such privatized prisons. Bukele lives, Sardinas continues! See you tomorrow!
