Julio Denis opens for Panama at the beginning of the Qualifier for the Pan American Games Chile 2023

Left-handed Julio Denis opens this Friday at 9:00 am against Canada in Panama’s debut in the Buenos Aires Qualifying Championship that grants a place to the 2023 Pan American Games, as confirmed by manager Hipólito Ortiz.

Ortiz confirmed Denis and said that his team is in good shape, after their first training session this Thursday in the Argentine capital. “The guys are good, good weather and we’re going for that win against Canada,” said Ortiz.

The qualifying tournament will send a team to the 2023 Pan American Games baseball tournament to be played in Chile between October 20 and November 5 with the participation of 7,000 athletes from more than 16 individual and group sports disciplines.

Panama rests on Saturday June 17 and on Sunday they face Peru at 9:00 am, on Monday the 19th they will face Honduras at 1:00 pm, and close with Argentina on Tuesday, June 20.

The two best teams will play a final on Wednesday the 21st for the only place in the 2023 Pan American Games at a time yet to be confirmed.
