The head of the Midis avoided indicating which ministers will be replaced. However, he indicated that all ministers are being evaluated, including the president of the Council of Ministers, Gustavo Adrianzén.
Merger of ministries
Demartini avoided answering whether the Ministry of Women will be eliminated or merged. However, he confirmed that there will be a merger of two pairs of ministries, which will leave two portfolios.
“This is a comprehensive issue, it is not just about which ministry to choose. There is the possibility of seeing the merger of ministries in this first stage,” he said on RPP.
However, the head of the Midis avoided confirming whether the Ministry of Women is among the ministries that are planned to be merged. In this regard, he assured that this announcement is up to the president. Dina Boluarte and the President of the Council of Ministers, Gustavo Adrianzén.
Demartini said that nearly 80% of the programs in her portfolio are aimed at women. She also said that she is trying to improve the State’s service. “A woman, before choosing a ministry with a name, prefers that the abuse stops,” she emphasized.
“This government is seeking efficiency in the State. (…) We ministers have a job: to be more efficient,” he said.
The minister also highlighted the proposal to create the Ministry of Infrastructure and said that the aim is to bring together all matters relating to infrastructure in a single ministry.
