In his second fight as a professional and first presentation in Argentina, the two-time Cuban Olympic champion Julio César La Cruz defeated Argentine Juan Juárez by technical knockout on Sunday night at the El Porvenir club in Quilmes, Buenos Aires province.

Point out the local media Infoquilmes that La Cruz was initially scheduled to face Maximiliano Corzo from Ensenada, who has a record of six wins, eight losses and one draw, but it was finally decided that his opponent would be Juárez, who has a record of service with a positive balance: 20 wins ( 14 before the limit) and 7 missteps.
However, Juarez, known as “el Poroto”, had lost five of his last seven fights and was knocked out in four of them.
La Cruz, captain of the Cuban national team, conquered his second Olympic crown by winning in the 91 kilograms of the Tokyo 2020 fair and the fifth world title by triumphing in the 92 kilos of the Belgrade contest.
