Judoka Kristine Jiménez was welcomed in her hometown of Santiago de Veraguas in style. This Monday, a caravan was held for the public to pay tribute to her for representing the country at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games in the -57kg women’s judo category.
Jimenez was grateful for the welcome and indicated that she will be in the country for two weeks to rest and await the arrival of Atheyna Bylon who secured a medal for Panama in Boxing.
Regarding being chosen as the standard-bearer for the November 9 festivities in Santiago, she said, “It’s an honor to be the standard-bearer and now it’s time to find a skirt for that day,” she said, laughing.
