The First National Collegiate Criminal Court, in a hearing to advance the ruling, imposed eight years in prison for Julián Cuba Jurado and Richard Alex Cornejo Callas for the crime of apology of terrorism.
Cuba Jurado (37), a practicing lawyer and current worker of the Provincial Municipality of Huancavelica, on September 12, 2021, on his Facebook account, made a publication in which reference is made to Abimael Guzmán, in his capacity as leader of the terrorist organization Sendero Luminoso.
In said publication, according to the sentence, he exalted, justified and praised the aforementioned genocide.

Cornejo Callas, 49 years old, was charged with the fact that on February 7, 2021, also using his Facebook account, he published a video justifying the terrorist actions carried out by Guzmán Reinoso.

The First National Collegiate Criminal Court is made up of Guillermo Huamán Vargas (president), Juan Roldan Ponte and Luis Del Carpio Narváez
The full reading of both sentences was scheduled for next February 6 and 7 at 4:00 p.m.
It should be noted that on January 18, 2023, the Fourth National Collegiate Criminal Court sentenced Rodrigo Benjamín Benites Silva for the crime of apology for a person convicted of the crime of terrorism (Abimael Guzmán), also through social networks.
It is important to remember that Rodrigo Benites Silva was the first convicted of the crime of apology for terrorism last Wednesday, January 18.
