He Judicial Branch dictated one sentence of 15 years in prison against Aner Nieto Ambrosio, 37for the crime of affiliation or belonging to a terrorist organization, due to its links with the Shining Path and its collaboration with the subversive leaders Florindo Flores Hala, aka ‘Comrade Artemio’, and Víctor Vásquez, known as ‘Comrade Rubén’.
According to the investigations of the National Superior Prosecutor’s Office specialized in crimes of terrorism and related, Nieto Ambrosio would have provided logistical and informative support to the terrorist organization between 2006 and 2009 in the Caserío de Río Frío, located in the district of José Crespo y Castillo, Province of Leoncio Prado, Huánuco region.
During the oral trial, it was proven that the defendant kept propaganda material such as flyers and banners, in addition to reporting community activities to subversive controls. These actions were fundamental for the coordination of illegal activities in the area.
In addition to the condemnation of effective prison, the Court ordered its disqualification for three years to exercise any public function, the payment of 180 days fine and a civil reparation of S/ 20,000 in favor of the Peruvian State.
It should be remembered that Aner Nieto Ambrosio was captured in December 2024 by tinge police officers in Tingo Maríawho intervened at kilometer 507,500 of the longitudinal highway of the northern jungle, Angashyacu sector, also in José Crespo y Castillo. Against him there was a current requisition for aggravated terrorism, issued by the First National Criminal Chamber of Lima.
The Public Ministry highlighted this new sentence as part of its work to firmly combat and sanction acts that threaten national security and democratic order.
