He Judiciary this Friday annulled the preventive detention order issued against the regional governor of Callao, Ciro Castillo Rojoinvestigated for an alleged criminal organization, called ‘Los Socios del Callao’.
The entity declared the appeal presented by Castillo Rojo’s legal defense founded, for which he will be investigated and released, although he is disqualified from resuming his duties in front of GORE Callao as of this Monday, February 2.
It was in December 2025 when the same Judiciary authorized the preliminary detention of 15 days against Castillo Rojo and other officials and suppliers related to the case, an order ratified by the First Criminal Appeals Chamber of Callao in response to a first appeal presented by the legal defense of the Chalaca authority.
As part of the investigations, 27 properties were raided, including homes and offices, including the Castillo Rojo home.
The regional governor was not found at his home and even now he is missing.
