As part of the strengthening of international legal cooperation and the integral approach to the global security mechanisms, judges of the Criminal Judicial Circuit of the Metropolitan Area of Caracas (CJPAMC) participated in a specialized day on the Interpol notifications system, developed in the facilities of the Palace of Justice.
The general director of International Police, C/G Howard Timaure, together with the president of the Criminal Judicial Circuit of the Metropolitan Area of Caracas (CJPAMC) Dr. Carolina Molinos, led the event in which judges, judges and secretaries participated.
During the dissertation, the protocols, criteria and legal foundations that govern the issuance, processing and application of these alerts were addressed, as well as their impact on the Venezuelan criminal justice system.
The training activity was oriented to the technical and legal understanding of red notifications, a key tool for the location and provisional detention of persons required by judicial authorities for extradition purposes.
The day allowed the judges to deepen the correct use of these international instruments, in order to guarantee respect for due process and human rights.
The deputy director of International Police participated in the presentation, C/G Erwin Alfonzo; the Director of Notifications and Communications, C/J Richard Belmonte; the supervisor of the research area, c/J Gonzalo Inojosa; and the legal advisor, lawyer Elizabeth Martínez.
