The suspension, the judge explained, was granted to a civil association that promoted an amparo trial against the judicial reform.
The judge recalled that, because the INE did not accredit the measures implemented to comply with the suspension it granted since the end of September, he issued a first warning of 54,285 pesos to each INE counselor.
Despite this, the councilors reported that they would continue with the preparations for the judicial election, which is why, the judge noted, this week they received a second warning to comply, warning that they would receive a second fine of 54,000 pesos and the agent would be seen. of the Public Ministry for contempt.
García Contreras explained that the counselors responded to this second request with fallacies and allusions to evade compliance with said suspension, which is why he warned that in this situation he once again required the INE counselors to comply with this suspension.
“Which they must do within 24 hours from when they are notified, if they do not do so, that fine will be imposed and I will notify the Public Ministry agent,” warned the justice.
The judge issued this second warning after, on Thursday, the president of the INE, Guadalupe Taddei, announced that work on the election of judges is expected to restart next Wednesday.
