Judge sends BoA officials investigated for the ‘drug flight’ to Spain to Palmasola

In a hearing of precautionary measures that lasted for four hours on Saturday night, the court determined that the two officials of the Bolivian Aviation airline (BoA), are sent to preventive detention in the Palmasola prisonaccused of sending a shipment of cocaine from the Viru Viru airport to Spain.

The judge 8th Criminal Investigation Department, Livia Alarcón, ordered that Diego V. and Freddy Ch. be sent within days for the alleged crimes of trafficking in controlled substances, conspiracy and criminal association.

The commission of prosecutors made up of Rocío Medrano and Fernando Mejía They requested before the judge that the charge be declared confidential because of the delicate nature of the case. The request was granted by the jurisdictional authority.

In addition, during the hearing, prosecutors announced that more than 20 people will be summoned to testify at the Viru Viru airportamong police officers, catering service personnel, officials from Naabol and from the airport terminal itself.
