Unrestricted freedom granted by Judge Rómer Saucedo to the former interim mayor Angélica Sosa, as well as the former Secretary of Urban Mobility Rolando Ribera and the leader of bus lines 17 and 18 Percy Rojas, for the BRT 1 case. This was announced by the lawyer Jerjes Justiniano before the media.
Justiniano pointed out that the judge determined that there is no probability of authorship in the case of Sosa, his client, to whom the crimes of breach of duties and uneconomic conduct were attributed.
The lawyer stated that it was observed that Sosa had not filed a complaint or audited -in his capacity as councilor- in the process of awarding the concessionaire of the Bus for Rapid Transportation (BRT), but that it was shown that there was an inspection and a legal technical response was receivedHe who backed her up.
In his contact with the media, Justiniano also indicated that the judge determined that there was no probability of authorship in the cases of Ribera and Rojas. However, the magistrate did observe a probable omission on the part of the pre-selection commission, who would have incurred in a probable breach of duties, for which the judge determined for them, alternative measures to preventive detention.
Both Sosa and Ribera are in preventive detention in Palmasola; the first for the phantom items case and the second for the BRT 2 case.
