Santo Domingo.- The judge of the National District Attention Office, Fatima Veloz, issued three months in preventive detention as a coercion measure against Óscar Eduardo Franco Alcántara, accused of launching Devil’s acid to his ex -partnercausing him burns In different parts of the body.

The Public Ministry accuses Franco Alcántara of committing torture and barbarism to the detriment of his ex -partner, Evelin Yocasta Delgado de Jesús, who was left with permanent scars on his body, and to violate the law of weapon for using a Chilean that uses to attack the agents at the time of his arrest.

He still continues to receive medical care. Hours before the aggression, the victim had received threatening messages by WhatsApp, allegedly sent by the accused.
On July 11, 2025, Franco Alcántara was arrested by members of the National Police. At the time of his arrest he carried a Chilean -type homemade weapon, ammunition of various calibers and a cell phone. During the arrest he resisted, shooting at the agents and was shot in the confrontation, where a police sergeant was also injured.
