The suspended Judge of Guarantees of Avellaneda Luis Carzoglio confirmed this Tuesday before the members of the Bicameral Intelligence Commission that AFI agents pressured him to arrest the trade unionists Hugo and Pablo Moyanoexpounding on the so-called “Buenos Aires judicial table” presumably destined to put together cases against union members.
On the other hand, the former director of the Legal Affairs Area of the Federal Intelligence Agency (AFI) Juan Sebastián De Stéfano attended the commission but submitted a brief saying that he would not answer questions because he was summoned by the judge. Ernest Kreplax to give an investigative statement on this matter.
Peronist deputy Rodolfo Tailhade told Télam that De Stéfano did not question the commission’s competence to carry out this investigation, which “means the validity of the bicameral procedures.”
Regarding Carzoglio’s statement, the legislator pointed out that the suspended judge “confirmed the statements he has been making for three years that De Stéfano and another AFI agent, Fernando Di Pascuale, They personally pressured him to stop Hugo and Pablo Moyano“
Carzoglio had rejected a prosecutor’s request to arrest the trucker leader Pablo Moyano in a case for alleged irregularities in the Independiente club, of which the unionist is a director.
For that matter, Carzoglio was subjected to a trial jury, which suspended him in 2019.
Tailhade reported that Carzoglio said that Lomas de Zamora judge Gabriel Vitale “also suffered the same maneuver,” for which “we are going to summon this magistrate.”
Carzoglio told the deputies that “the person responsible for this maneuver, for this intimidation that affected him, has a first and last name and is Mauricio Macri,” the legislator expanded.
The parliamentary body has been citing former officials of the management of the former governor of Buenos Aires Maria Eugenia Vidal and former spies who would have participated in maneuvers to build cases against trade unionists.
The summonses began after a video of former provincial Labor Minister Marcelo Villegas became known, who in a meeting in 2017 at the headquarters of Banco Provincia, in the city of Buenos Aires, said that he would have liked to have a “Gestapo” (police secret Nazi) to control the unionists.
As a result of these episodes, a criminal case was opened that is in charge of the federal judge from La Plata, Kreplak.
In addition, the Bicameral presented last February 10 before the Council of the Judiciary a request for impeachment against the federal chamberlains Mariano Llorens and Pablo Bertuzzi.
The legislators accused the judges of “bad performance in their duties” for disassociating those responsible for the AFI from the Government of Together for Change from an espionage case and endorsing the theory of “self-employment” in which the agents of that organism.
