When going to support the elements of the State Agency, personnel from the Chihuahua Public Security Secretariat held another confrontation in which five of the attackers, who were wearing tactical clothing, were killed.
“Through the emergency frequency, elements of the AEI reported an attack against them when they were carrying out work in the Canto de Murano subdivision, for which reason personnel from all the corporations immediately began the search for those responsible,” reported the state prosecutor’s office
The authority highlighted that during the search operation, the elements of the state police were in sight of a cherry-colored Ford Fusion car, manned by several subjects who, upon seeing them, fired their firearms at the units.
The Prosecutor’s Office explained that a pursuit began that ended at the intersection of Jupiter and Valle del Sol streets, in Juárez, where five subjects wearing bulletproof vests, helmets and tactical equipment were killed, and four long firearms were also seized.
The two injured ministerial agents were reported out of danger.
Another of the confrontations took place in the streets of Valle del Sol, when the staff of the state Attorney General’s Office carried out the search for the escapees and ran into the subjects aboard various vehicles.
In the interventions, four long weapons and tactical equipment were seized, as well as an armored Cherokee vehicle, a Ford Fusion and a Suburban; also several cartridges.
