Guanipa pointed out that the Amnesty Law, approved during the night of this February 19 in the National Assembly, is a “chucuto document that seeks to blackmail many innocent Venezuelans and that excludes several brothers who remain unjustly behind bars.”
The leader of Primero Justicia Juan Pablo Guanipa is completely free. In the early hours of this Friday the 20th, security officials removed the electronic shackle that they put on him on February 10 when he received the house-to-prison measure.
By confirming the information on his social networks, he expressed his willingness to work for the country’s reconciliation, but “with the truth ahead” because “a reconciliation based on lies is like a giant with feet of clay, it falls at the first opportunity.”
He insisted that reconciliation between Venezuelans “under coercion” is not possible.
In this sense, he pointed out that the “torture centers” are still open, hundreds of Venezuelans are still in exile, dozens of soldiers are imprisoned “for raising their voices” and the laws that “they use to repress are still in force.”
Guanipa demanded the full and immediate freedom of all political, civil and military prisoners, as well as guaranteeing that all exiles can return to Venezuela.

chucuta law
Regarding the Amnesty Law approved during the night of this February 19 in the National Assembly, the politician assured that it is a “chucuto document that seeks to blackmail many innocent Venezuelans and that excludes several brothers who remain unjustly behind bars.”
In his opinion, the legal instrument sanctioned “is no amnesty.”
«The release of political prisoners is not an act of clemency. None of them should have been imprisoned. The dictatorship kidnapped them trying to break the spirit of the Venezuelan people, but they couldn’t,” he emphasized.
Guanipa was released from prison on Sunday, February 8 at 1:00 p.m. and later at 11:45 p.m. he was detained again by approximately 10 unidentified men who intercepted him in the Los Chorros neighborhood of Caracas.
According to a statement from the Prosecutor’s Office, the politician failed to comply with the conditions of the precautionary measures, which is why he requested house arrest. Later, the Minister of the Interior, Justice and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, also pointed out that Guanipa did not comply with the instructions given by the justice system when trying to “embarrass the country.”
