The White House advisor during the Joe Biden administration, Juan González, pointed out this Sunday that there is no evidence that President Nicolás Maduro has links to international drug trafficking networks, as President Donald Trump has insisted.
“There is no evidence to support that the president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, directs any drug trafficking cartel,” González emphatically expressed during an interview with journalist Patricia Janiot, in which he admitted that, in the case of Iraq, the United States has entered “due to false evidence and here (Venezuela case) we have to recognize that there is no concrete evidence of Maduro’s role as head of a cartel,” he assured.
The former official also considered it pertinent to lay the foundations for establishing a dialogue between the president of the United States, Donald Trump, and his Venezuelan counterpart Nicolás Maduro, with the aim of releasing tensions between both countries.
