Juan Diego Terrazas wins Cosat tournament in Chile

An emerging figure of Bolivian tennis, Juan Diego Terrazas Rivero (15), became champion of the Cosat South American tournament (Grade II) played in Santiago de Chile between August 27 and September 3 last.

In the final corresponding to the 16-year-old category, our compatriot beat Peruvian Nicolás Baena 3-6, 7-5 and 6-0 after having beaten Brazilian Pedro Almeida 6-2, 6-3 in the semifinals.

Partnering with Almeida, Terrazas was champion in doubles (Grade III) defeating the Chileans Leonardo Valentino and Nicolás Onate by 6-4 and 6-1. Previously, in Paraguay, Juan Diego had reached the quarterfinals in singles and was champion in doubles.

It was one of his most outstanding presentations in international competitions.
