The singer and chorister of typical music Juan Cruzwho worked with the group «The Prodigy»died this Sunday afternoon due to a heart attack in the province of Santiago.
The death was confirmed by Krency García, better known as “El Prodigio”, who expressed his sorrow for the loss, highlighting Cruz’s talent and legacy in the aforementioned musical genre.
“With deep painwe inform you that maestro Juan Cruz has passed away into the arms of the Lord. Today we say goodbye to one of the greatest singers of typical merengue of all time,” García wrote on his Instagram account, along with a photograph of the deceased artist.
“It was an honor to have his talent in our band. Rest in peace, maestro Juan Cruz,” added “El Prodigio.”
Details of the funeral are still unknown.
