That the Special Electoral Jury of Chiclayo (JEECH) has declared founded the blemishes against him for breach of the horizontal Parity, does not mean for the former Minister of the Interior, Juan Carrasco Millions, the end of the road of his candidacy as regional governor of Lambayequealthough he stated that he is clear that there is political persecution against him.
In an interview for La República, the former Lambayeque prosecutor stressed that he will exhaust all resources to participate in the electoral process on October 2, 2022, since -he noted- that he hopes that the National Elections Jury (JNE) issue a fair resolution after the appeal to Resolution No. 1110-2022, issued by the Special Electoral Jury of Chiclayo (JEECH) that declared the objections against them founded because Together for Peru (JP) did not comply with parity horizontal in the registration of lists at the national level.
“It is expected that the JNE will pronounce itself fairly and allow my participation in the electoral process”Carrasco said.
Notwithstanding the confirmation of the first-instance electoral resolution on the appeal for blemishes, Juan Carrasco stated that he will go to the Power of attorney to assert their rights. “All resources will be exhausted, which implies that the Judiciary will go so that the rights that protect me are respected,” he noted.

He added: “When I was a prosecutor, I investigated Humberto Acuna, which is part of the Alliance for Progress (APP), who is afraid of losing hegemony in Lambayeque”.
It also considered that the objective of the remedy of blemish it was denatured and became an instrument to remove a candidate from an electoral process solely for interests. He even noted that his political opponents would not file appeals specified by the electoral norm if he were in the last place of the preferences.
“Not a clean slate”
“What happens is that they have fear that it reaches the Regional Government because there will be no clean slate and the anomalous facts will be investigated within the framework of transparency. That’s why they all came together to get me out of the race and, all the citizens realized it. However, I will exhaust the legal resources to apply”, he sentenced.
For his part, the APP spokesman, Juan Pablo Horna, denied that his party carried out a counter campaign, and noted that Juan Carrasco would be poorly advised and assuming the errors of Together for Peru in the registration of regional lists, specifically on the subject of horizontal parity.
