Journalist Rodolfo Schmidt passed away at the age of 80

Rodolfo Schmidt, a graduate of UCAB, had a long and successful career in the country’s media. His journalistic sharpness was registered, among others, by El Diario de Caracas, Economía Hoy; Daily Report of the Economy, and El Globo.

The National Association of Journalists (CNP) mourned Schmidt’s death and highlighted his professional career.

«We learned of the death of the journalist colleague Rudolf Schmidt with whom we shared years of journalism without censorship or media closure and radio and TV were free sources of information. Before the arrival of this unfortunate robolution where even Chávez spoke in them », wrote the journalist Nelson Bocaranda on his Twitter account.
