Journalist accused of kidnapping in Edomex will continue his trial in freedom

The activist and journalist Irvin García Suárez was apprehended by municipal police on October 8 and presented before the Jilotepec courts, without an arrest warrant, accused of the crimes of express kidnapping and extortion.

In this regard, the Governor of the State of Mexico, Alfredo del Mazo Maza, reported that the State Prosecutor’s Office is handling the journalist’s case.

“We are going to be accompanying the family and supporting them as much as possible, of course, asking the state prosecutor’s office to take care of the case and review it again,” said the governor, who insisted that the case must be thoroughly reviewed. and requested that the corresponding information be issued to expand the reasons for this resolution and the steps that will be followed in the investigation.
