The president of the Paraguayan Chamber of the Construction Industry (Capaco), Daniel Díaz de Vivar, lamented that the ministries of Public Works and Finance spend throwing the ball regarding the payment of the debt with that sector. He questioned that while the Government ignores the problem, the construction companies are pressured by the banks to pay the interest on the credits assumed.

He also said that about a month ago they met with the Central Bank of Paraguay (BCP) and the Superintendence of Banks to explain the situation of the sector and to prevent them from being recategorized (the recategorization will imply that they are risk clients and will receive credits at differentiated rates) as was done with the producer union due to the drought.
