José Paliza: «La Ley de Extinción de Dominio va sí o sí»

Santo Domingo.- The Administrative Minister of the Presidency, José Ignacio Paliza, stated in a video posted on his twitter account that the Domain Forfeiture Law must be approved.

He said that for today the legislators of the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM) have been summoned so that this bill is approved as soon as possible.

“Enough of pretexts, the Law of Domain Extinction is going yes or yes, we have summoned the legislators of our party so that this important bill is approved as soon as possible, we leave behind the old policy and we bet on transparency and accountability ” expressed Beat.

Domain Forfeiture Law

President Luis Abinader in his statement of account on February 27, was in favor of the approval of the Domain Extinction Law to recover the money stolen from the Dominican State.

The President has also asked legislators to join in this purpose until final approval is achieved.

The Head of State and Senate President Eduardo Estrella agreed to work together to approve this initiative.

The draft Law on Trials for the Extinction of Domain of Illicit Assets is a legal tool that exists in many countries and seeks to establish the civil confiscation of assets with illicit origins to reincorporate them into the treasury without having to exhaust criminal trials.
