José M. Murià: The respectable feminism of the police Judith

Adjustments in 44% of the first circle of the President

Jose M. Muria

AND

It’s hard not to get caught up in allegations about feminism. Personally, I have been an explicit supporter of gender equity, but it never ceases to bother me so much trickery that leads incompetent people to relevant positions and even to the apparent performance of public office when the one who pulls the strings behind the scenes is the gallant of the Lady.

I suppose that this is an inevitable part of the process that will improve for the sake of a more balanced society and that men and women can harmoniously develop their capacities.

What does bother me is this classist feminism that has had manifestations, in my opinion, repugnant and counterproductive.

I was struck by an old sports shoe dealer who went to some marches to get an approximate average of 7 or 8 thousand pesos from the footwear of the brave protesters, some of whom claimed to exercise their rights while their children are in expensive school and the husband doesn’t need them… I remember with nausea those scenes of the rebellious ladies yelling at the policewomen assigned to maintain order who were nothing more than seedy cats without any quality to face them.

They were so full of themselves that they launched to demonstrate against the current government parading in their luxury cars and honking their horns furiously…

I confess that such ladies, collectively, deserve even less respect from me than that manifested by them attacking monuments and public buildings…

Instead, I feel greater admiration for those women who have the guts to perform in modest low-paid jobs displaying efficiency and a sense of responsibility.

I have been writing articles about women linked to public security for some time, both on the street in uniform and in administrative offices like any other citizen. For this reason, I want to pay tribute as an example, on behalf of so many cases, to Judith Velázquez Jiménez de Sandi, a native of Coyoacán, and deeply rooted in Guadalajara.

It has been more than three decades since the said official has been at the top of the organizational chart of the Guadalajara police: there have been many directors and our Judith remains in her position, with increasing experience and capacity, at the service of citizen security, which , given the increasingly complex circumstances, is highly appreciable.

It is said that more than 40 percent of Guadalajara homes are supported by the total or partial contribution of a woman, as in the case of Judith, who almost graduated, who works two daily shifts from 7 in the morning to 9 at night. , whose curriculum culminates in a bachelor’s degree in tourism business administration acquired at a private university. It can well be said that her life has not given her anything.

The effort to overcome is commendable, but the circumstances are rigid and impose their limits. However, Ms. Velázquez is surprised by her joviality and her very good disposition.

To the many good police
