José Jerí supervises territorial control in La Victoria and visits police stations in Lima to reinforce citizen security

The president, José Jerí, This Monday he supervised the territorial control work in the area known as La Pólvora, in the Jorge Chávez passage of the La Victoria district, as part of the Government’s actions to strengthen citizen security in Lima.

Accompanied by the Minister of Housing, Construction and Sanitation, Wilder Sifuentes Quilcate, and the head of the Ministry of the Interior, Vicente Tiburcio, the head of State toured the points where the National Police of Peru carries out articulated operations to prevent criminal acts and improve the perception of security in sensitive areas of the city.

“From the Government we will continue to redouble our efforts to provide more security to Peruvian families,” said the Presidency in its official accounts, highlighting coordination with law enforcement to guarantee tranquility in the streets of Lima.

After supervising the operation in La Victoria, Jerí and the ministers carried out a day of visits and inspections in various police stations in Lima to verify operation and articulate actions that strengthen crime prevention.

Among the places visited were:

• Rímac Police Station and the Plaza Gastañeta command post, as well as the Alfonso Ugarte police station, located in Cercado de Lima.
• Itinerant surveillance post in Lince, where the deployment of ongoing interventions was evaluated.
• Yerbateros police station and the Chacra Colorada police station in Breña, in which police operational work and attention to citizens were confirmed,

The president’s agenda included the exchange of impressions with police officers and sectoral authorities to consolidate joint action strategies.
