This Tuesday the 3rd, the President of the Republic, José Jeríreceived the credentials of the new ambassador of USA in Peru, Bernie Navarroin the Government Palace.
As is known, the consul was elected – in the extraordinary and plenipotentiary position – by President Donald Trump on June 16 and confirmed by the Senate on December 18.
Two months later, as appropriate, the diplomat delivered the letter accrediting him to the representative position and the letter of retirement from his predecessor, Stephanie Syptak-Ramnath.
At the ceremony for handing over the credentials of the new ambassador of USA in Peru, Bernie Navarrothe North American chargé d’affaires, Joan Perkins, also participated.
On the Peruvian side, they accompanied the president of Peru, José Jeríthe Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chancellor Hugo de Zela and Eduardo Pérez, director of protocol at the Foreign Ministry.
The recognition of the high investiture of the American extraordinary consul and plenipotentiary was carried out by the Honor Guard, cavalry regiment, Marshal Domingo Nieto.
