José Isabel Blandón on dialogue tables: “They are a lack of leadership on the part of the Government”

The president of the Panameñista party, José Isabel Blandón, spoke this Tuesday on Radio Panama about the second phase of the single dialogue table, affirming that from the first phase this discussion started badly due to the absence of all sectors of the country.

Blandón did not deny that progress has been made, at the same time that he alluded to the issue of medicines, recalling the 30% reduction. “It is inconceivable that this was announced without taking into consideration the owners of pharmacies, mainly the small ones, who ended up calling for a strike, that type of situation that has been taking place, in our opinion, is a lack of government leadership,” he stressed.

He commented that the Government has allowed itself to be cornered in a situation for not making decisions in a timely manner and allowing us to have three weeks in July with the Inter-American highway closed, isolated provinces and in situations of almost war, and then rushing to sit down in a dialogue with not all the actors who should have been there.
