The National Control Authority (ANC) of the Public Ministry resolved to suspend from the position of provincial prosecutor José Domingo Pérez Gómez for a period of six months. The precautionary measure, made official through Resolution No. 08-2026-ANC-MP-UPD-ADC-LIMA CENTRO, responds to alleged serious administrative infractions committed in the exercise of their functions.
The investigation against the member of the Lava Jato Special Team began after the annulment of the oral trial in the so-called “Cocktails” case, which involves Keiko Fujimori. According to the document, Pérez Gómez is questioned for having presented an accusatory request lacking a duly substantiated accusation on the factual, legal and evidentiary levels. This technical deficiency caused the accusation to be returned up to 19 times and, finally, the Third National Collegiate Criminal Court declared the annulment of the prosecution order ex officio.
The ANC maintains that this conduct has compromised the duties of the office, affecting “the proper administration of justice and due process.”
