Almost at the limit of the term was registered this morning the second list of candidates for the board of directors of the Congress of the Republic headed by the legislator José Cueto Aservi of the Honor and Democracy bench.
He goes to the contest accompanied by the congressmen Carlos Zeballos of the Popular Democratic Block, Javier Padilla of Honor and Democracy and Juan Burgos of Podemos Peru as aspiring to the first, second and third vice presidency.
Cueto thus constitutes the opponent of the applicant of the so -called Democratic Block (BD) José Jerí Oré, who faces a complaint for alleged sexual violation and takes Fernando Rospigliosi of Force Popular, Waldemar Cerrón de Perú Libre and Ilich López of Popular Action.
As reported by Cueto earlier, the delay in its registration obeyed the indefinitions of the benches that support their candidacy with respect to their representatives in the list.
“We have talked with several representatives of the bench, in total they are13 Sometimes it is very difficult to agree with all,” he said.
Asked about the questions to his occasional competitor José Jerí, Cueto declined to give an opinion. However, he pointed out that his intention was to change the image of the legislative. “I am more concerned with what is going forward, bicamerality, leave a well -structured parliamentary service, that there are governance based on meritocracy and not to dedication, and above all have neutrality with a view to the next elections,” he said.
It should be noted that the legislator Rosselli Amuruz de Avanza País, a situation that, according to sources of Peru21Roces generated inside the group to such an extent that on Thursday night the party issued a statement to specify that none of its members would be part of this contest.
On the subject Cueto expressed his disagreement, but indicated that “each bench makes their decisions.”
Ask “reflective vote”
Later, after the registration of his list, the parliamentarian said that list No. 2 heading seeks to represent the change. “We want to represent the change, we want to turn and hope that the rest of our colleagues understand the message in the vote,” he said.
When asked about his contender José Jerí and the questions that weigh on some of the candidates on list No. 1, Cueto clarified that “we are not going to dedicate ourselves to make the other list or people.”
“Congressmen will evaluate and decide. We are a list that in general, and always in a consensual way, we will work for the Congress, of the country, and not seeing particular issues; neither shielding nor being a table of parties, we are going to be constructive opposition of the Executive,” he said at the time of asking for a “reflective vote.”
He spoke, at another time, on the complaints made long ago against his bench colleague and candidate for the second vice presidency of the legislature Javier Padilla for requesting the Parliament for reimbursement for fuel supposedly used on days in which he did not carry out legislative activities.
“He is carrying it forward and is solving it because there are several (congressmen involved), but we are more seeing the work they have done and that they are doing and I attest to the work they do in Lima Provinces, so he has been invited,” he replied briefly.
