José Carlos Requena on marches: "Elections must have certain dates"

For the political analyst it’s up to move forward with and ratify, failing that, those of 2024.

“I think that what is lacking are some certainties, the fact that we do not know when the elections will be, knowing the date may calm some of the pressures. A way would have to be found so that it is activated in the congress that advances the elections with lead feet to have certain dates, the April date must be ratified ”indicated.

He also referred to the violence exerted in Arequipa.

“When the protest reaches violent borders, the protest itself begins to be delegitimized. So, if one begins to be guided by the polls, we will have to wait for the marches to lose these violent edges inside. Kidnapping a police officer speaks clearly that it is not a peaceful protest.”Requena added.
