José Arista: "In these days the increase in the minimum wage will be announced"

El incremento propuesto elevaría el sueldo mínimo a S/1.330.

The Minister of Economy, Jose Aristapointed out that the increase in the minimum wage has not yet been defined, but assures that it should be soon.

“In these days the increase in the minimum wage will be announced,” he said in conversation with RPP.

The proposed increase would raise the minimum wage to S/1,330. This is S/305 additional to the current amount.

This proposal has been promoted by the General Confederation of Workers of Peru (CGTP) and questioned by business unions.

In addition, the minister shared details about the main topics of the country’s economic agenda: budget 2025, growth, public and private investment, among other topics.
