The last presidential debate prior to Sunday’s elections left several moments that were highly commented on on social networks. One of them was carried out by the candidate of the Christian Social Front, José Antonio Kast, who before a query from the journalist Macarena Pizarro, showed his discomfort with a personal question to the professional.
“In your government you propose benefits for married couples. And yet, in our country, there is a large number, a large number of women who raise their children alone, 25% of the mothers are single mothers ”, Pizarro began before making the consultation.

Then to ask “why should the State invest in giving benefits to those who have the advantage of being two, and between two to raise their children, to women who raise them alone and raise their children without help?”
Kast answered the query with another question, which generated various criticisms on social networks. “You are married?” asked Kast, receiving the answer “I am divorced, but I think that does not have any importance for this debate.”
