Jorge Solís Espinoza re -elected president of FEPCMAC: Trajectory and prominent achievements

Jorge Solís Espinoza has been re -elected as president of the Federation of Municipal Savings and Credit Funds (FEPCMAC), consolidating its leadership in the Peruvian financial sector. With an outstanding trajectory, Solís has worked tirelessly to strengthen municipal boxes, promoting their growth and sustainability.

Within the framework of the International Microfinance Seminar that takes place from today until Friday 25, the XLIII Ordinary General Assembly of the FEPCMAC was developed, in the city of Huancayo. During the session, held this Wednesday, April 23, the re-election of Jorge Solis Espinoza was agreed as president of the FEPCMAC for the 2025-2028 period.

The Executive is also president of the Huancayo Caja and Past President of the FEPCMAC in the 2016 – 2019 period.

During its management, Solís has faced significant challenges, such as the growing crime that affects municipal banks and the lack of adequate programs to support micro and small businesses (MYPES).

Their commitment to the defense of the boxes and their advocacy for public policies that benefit the Mypes have been fundamental pillars of their leadership.

Among the milestones of its management, initiatives are to improve the safety of municipal banks, as well as the implementation of strategies to promote access to credit and economic development of mypes.

Solís has proven to be a visionary leader, committed to the progress of the sector and the well -being of the communities that depend on the municipal boxes.

The General Assembly is the highest decision -making body of the FEPCMAC, and in this edition he reaffirmed his vision of articulated work to continue promoting the development of municipal banks as key actors in the country’s financial inclusion.

Solís is a lawyer for the National University of San Marcos, has specialty studies in Registry and Notarial Law, studies of specialty in contracts and recoveries of the State by the Continental University, studies of specialty in money laundering and risk management and specialty studies at The University Chicago Booth Executive School.
