The Chief of the Unified Command of the Bolivarian Revolution, Jorge Rodríguez reported on a press conference this Monday that of the 335 mayor’s office the Great Patriotic Pole (GPP) won 285, that is, 85% of the total mayor, which evidences the great rejection of the Venezuelan people to fascism.
He pointed out that they won in 23 state capitals of the existing 24, highlighting that in Caracas the victory was obtained with 86.4 percent. “We won in 23 of the 24 most state capitals and here is our elected mayor yesterday, the Almiranta in Chief, Carmen Teresa Meléndez. With the highest percentage that has been obtained in the city of Caracas in a competitive election,” he said.
“There were 56 political parties that participated in the elections yesterday and their voters went to vote, and we won them, we not only won the 23 capitals of the states, we also won them in almost all the most important cities in the country,” he emphasized.
He stressed that in the largest neighborhood in Latin America that is Petare, he won the great patriotic pole.
Speeches are not enough
He said that 100 percent of Venezuelans want peace and does not want “running and promising” but their problems are solved directly.
Regarding the participation in the common process, Rodríguez pointed out that there were more than 6 million registered votes, which he considers demonstrates the increase in the participation of the voters.
Therefore, he indicated that there was a “reality that indicates the sustained growth of the participation of the people of Venezuela in recent electoral events and the increase in geometric projection in the people’s consultation for the choice of vote.”
In this regard, he explained that this July 27, the sustained growth of the people’s participation could be observed, with 6,273,531 votes in recent electoral events. “In two months and two days, the participation between the elections of governors of May 25 and the elections of mayors, mayors and municipal councils yesterday rose from 41.67% to 44%. Almost 300,000 votes with respect to the figures thrown in the parliamentary elections,” said Rodríguez.
It attributes the increase to which there is a people “that rejects and repudiates fascism, extremism and any call to assault the people of Venezuela and its territory.”
The GPP obtained very high percentages
By offering the most significant figures with respect to the entities, he explained that in Maturín, Guanare and Sucre, the vote obtained by the GPP exceeded 90 percent.
Meanwhile, in Tucupita the figure was 98 percent, and in the Vargas municipality of the La Guaira state 94 percent was obtained.
A new opposition
Rodríguez believes that with the municipal elections “a new opposition was born in Venezuela.”
«It is the truth that a new opposition was born and hopefully they are not contaminated from the past. To that new opposition that was born yesterday we have a hand for work, ”he said. However, he warned that they are not” lousy winners “and do not” go crazy, as usually happens, “he said.
«They understand the message; People already said that they want peace to remain in Venezuela, I want there to be economic prosperity, that the recovery of the economy is everyone’s job, I want to decide, take the projects of my community, ”he said.
He pointed out that the mayors of the various oppositions must address the clamor of the people of Venezuela.
«It is the truth that a new opposition was born and they do not come contaminated from the past. To that new opposition that was born yesterday we have a hand for work »and added that the GPP remains the largest and most united political force that has existed in Venezuela.
He pointed out that the 49 mayors who remained in command of the oppositions must understand that they were chosen for “a new time.”
He explained that the mayors won by the Democratic Alliance add 19 (of the 49 in the hands of the opposition), which evidences that it would be the main opposition force, highlighting that their leaders decided to make politics, instead of continuing to add violence.
As a neighborhood force, when obtaining 11 mayorships it is located in second place.
And the third political force at the national level proved to be a regional party, said Rodríguez, which is Vamos Cojedes of Governor Alberto Galíndez, who obtained 9 mayor’s office at the national level.
In that sense, he said that “a new interlocution is born with the Venezuelan opposition, with the opposition that has votes,” while noting that “the other” only has ghosts and has died as a political force. “Last night he died first justice with popular will,” he crushed after referring to the loss of political relevance of those parties.
“How many matches have been born, grown and then died, it is a natural cycle in Venezuela (…)” And he said that this Sunday night “first died first justice, popular will,” he reiterated.
On the other hand, he stressed that the third opposition political force in the country is the regional party Vamos Cojedes, which won all the municipalities of that entity. He also highlighted the triumph in Tucupita and Vargas with more than 95% of ballots.
Loaded 80 percent of youth projects
Regarding the popular consultation of youth projects, he said that 80 percent, that is, 15,738 minutes of the project consultation, are loaded in the CNE system, “although it was a manual vote to determine the final results,” he said.
He considers that the modality of voting in the projects of the communes “is the future” and that over time, it will be something everyday.
“In the future we will see a more form of democracy, more vigorous, active, based on the consultation,” he said.
He also emphasized the importance of the Federal Government Council as an instance to ensure that communal power is a structural part of the Venezuelan State. “It is no longer a concession, it is a form of state organization,” he said.
Finally, he reiterated that the policy of decentralization of power will continue to deepen based on strengthening participatory and leading democracy. “We are going to a Venezuela where the management is with and for the people,” he concluded.
He ended by saying that the gift to the leader of the Bolivarian Revolution, Commander Hugo Chávez is the “victory of the people”, which was reflected in the elections last Sunday.
