The Chief of the Unified Command of the Revolution, Jorge Rodríguez, said Sunday that the country has the most efficient and rapid electoral system in the world, within the framework of the municipal elections and the first national popular consultation of youth.
He stressed that there are 53 political organizations that participate in the commission, in which 2,806 charges will be renewed, including 335 mayors or mayors and 2,471 main councilors and the same number of substitutes.
«The tables opened as usual, as is tradition, in the performance of the National Electoral Council. They opened very early in the morning in a process that, despite the fact that it is complex, since there are many positions to choose from, it takes place very quickly, since Venezuela has the most efficient, fast and transparent electoral system of the entire world, ”he said in Venezuelan television broadcast (VTV).
Rodríguez stressed that in a few countries we can speak of “electoral events such as ours, which take place in absolute peace, which take place with the development of electoral campaigns and the processes of mobilization of voters by organizations for political purposes.”
He made the call to the Venezuelan people to go to their respective voting centers to choose the candidates of their preference, and stressed that for the first time in the history of the country “in all voting centers are also arranged electoral tables so that all voters and young people over 15 years go (…) and suffer, choose the youth project of their preference.”
“It is a historical event because it demonstrates a strengthening of Venezuelan democracy, a deepening, because in what other part of the world people, with your vote, choose what are the projects that must be built or that must be established in a community?” He questioned.
In addition, he stressed that Venezuela not only has an efficient and robust electoral system, but with an innovation in democratic processes, in the face of other systems that do not reflect the will of the voter.
The head of the campaign command urged that, when the day ends, the results that the National Electoral Council will be given in absolute peace will be expected.
Deep defeat of extremism
