Jorge Rodríguez proposes a campaign against criminals who attack the country

This Wednesday Jorge Rodriguezpresident of the National Assembly (AN), proposed starting a campaign to denounce and hold accountable those who subjected Venezuela to the worst aggression in recent years.

“I would like to propose, in compliance with our responsibility as deputies of Venezuela, that we start today, the day of our homeland, the day of our independence, a campaign throughout the national territory to denounce and hold accountable to the criminals who subjected Venezuela to the worst aggression it has experienced in 212 years,” Rodríguez stated.

“A campaign that establishes the responsibilities of those who, having been born on this earth, who, having been born with the name of Venezuelans, dared to ask for destruction and death against their own blood brothers,” added the deputy at the closing of the Solemn Session held in the chamber in commemoration of the 212 years of the signing of the Act of the Declaration of Independence of Venezuela.

Campaign to show faces of aggression

In this sense, he proposed to take to the streets the figures presented in the Solemn Session by the speaker of order, William Castillowhich show the consequences of the blockade and the aggressions against the country.

He pointed out that it is not possible to use the consequences of the aggression against the country as a political argument, warning in this sense that “the entire right-wing campaign is mounted on the damage they did against Venezuela.”

Given this, he proposed going to the streets to show the reality of those who, although they were born in Venezuela, do not deserve the name Venezuelan because they have called for attacks against their nation.

“We are going to the streets, we are going to denounce them, we are going to show their faces,” he said.

free and independent

“We were the first region of this continent to decree the absolute freedom of Venezuela,” recalled Jorge Rodríguez, referring to the signing of the Independence Act 21 years ago.

In this regard, he said that just as in 1811 Venezuela refused to submit to an imaginary king, it will never submit again.

“212 years ago we said, we will be free and today we continue to be free,” said the president of the National Assembly.
