The Vice President of Communication and Electoral Affairs of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Jorge Rodríguez, announced that the National Electoral Council (CNE) received 36,986 candidates for candidates for elections on May 25.
At a press conference of the red awning, Rodríguez explained that for the coming elections 54 political parties will participate, thus generating 6,687 candidates.

He insisted that on May 25, the machinery of the Great Patriotic Pole Simón Bolívar must obtain the 24 State governorates and the majority qualified in the National Assembly of Venezuela.
