The visual artist Jorge Pineda passed away early this Thursday at the age of 62.

The death of the stage director also occurred at 1:40 in the morning, according to the general director of Patronage, Henry Mercedes Vales.

Jorge Pineda was born on September 24, 1961, in the province of Barahona, Dominican Republic. His work is part of several public and private collections, both in the Dominican Republic and internationally, including: the Museum of Contemporary Art of Castilla y León; IVAM (Valencian Institute of Modern Art); Patricia Phells de Cisneros Collection; and AD2 (Museum of Contemporary Art of Salamanca).
